In Ireland we say: Ní uasal ná íseal, ach thuas seal agus thíos seal. Neither always high nor always low. Life has rhythms. From quiet seasons to busy days, from sunshine to rain, the Mournes remind us that ups and downs are all part of the journey.

From elders guarding the gateway to hawthorns tied to Irish folklore, the trees at Rostrevor Holidays each have their own story. Take a walk down the laneway and you’ll find beeches, pines, damsons, and more. Some planted for food, some for shelter, and some that simply grew where they chose. How many will you spot when you visit?
