Which holiday cottages County Down?
Looking for holiday cottages County Down? We have the answer for you. Rostrevor Holidays is a group of 10 self-catering cottages in County Down. We are located in the foothills of the Mourne Mountains, 90 minutes north of Dublin and 60 minutes south of Belfast. As a family run business for over 23 years, we have strived to make Rostrevor Holidays somewhere more than just a place to stay. Alongside our accommodation, you can enjoy a game of tennis on the private tennis court, stroll along the riverside walk and up through the farmyard, or join your children in the playground. If you’re planning on an active holiday, bring along your mountain bike, or hire one nearby, and head off onto the Rostrevor Mountain Bike Trails – just 1 mile from your cottage doorstep, or the Castlewellan Mountain Bike trails, a 20 minute drive from the cottages. The Mourne Mountains are popular with walkers, and with your accommodation looking out over the mountains, you can set off on an adventure after breakfast.

Irish Cottages County Down
In building the group of cottages at Rostrevor Holidays in County Down, effort was made to maintain an Irish country cottage feel. The group of cottages were built in the style of an old “Clachan”. This resembles a small hamlet or village. Therefore all of the cottages are close by together, and you can walk from one to the other if your friends and family are staying in a different cottage. The centre of the group is known as The Ceili House. This cottage was traditionally used as somewhere for a social gathering, in rural Ireland. We try to carry on this tradition at Rostrevor Holidays and have Ceili Nights, where people tell stories, catch up with each other, or perhaps sing a song or perform a tune.
